Philip Mc Guigan wins DCC Road Race.

Congratulations to Philip Mc Guigan DCC who won tonights Road Race.

All those turbo training sessions he does in the SF office have paid off.

The pain this man has gone through recently has been so tough that if he was a dog he would have been put down by now.

Philip is a very modest guy who wont mention this victory after tonight.

Well done to Seamus Og Kelly DCC who lead for 5 laps but was caught on the final lap.

Also like to mention the 2 young Wallace boys from Biestys Ballymoney CC who rode well tonight amongst the big boys.

Thanks to organisers, marshals and photographers for all their help once again.

Great result for Vincent and well deserved after alot of hard work he has put in recently.

Another good night for our club and well done to all our riders who took part.

Unfortunately Jonathan Dooey was involved in a crash early on and has suffered a back injury which we probably wont know the extent of the damage until tomorrow.

We all wish him a speedy recovery.

Thanks to Ballymoney CC for another well run event.

DCC Race Team enjoy great weekend at Newry 3 day Races.

Our race team enjoyed their weekend in Newry where Chris Mc Keown finished a very creditable 16th finish over the 4 stages.

Philip Mc Guigan made a strong effort to finish the race on the last day and both did our club proud over the weekend.

Jonny Dooey was disappointed having to bow out on saturday due to a mechanical problem after looking strong on the first stage on friday night.

All 3 riders deserve alot of credit as they gave everything they had and gained valuable experience.

These 3 will be stonger and we hope to see them compete again very soon.

Also our support team gained valuable experience and hopefully will have a new club sponsored car very soon.

DCC Team at Newry Races day 2.

Chris Mc Keown is in the top 20 after the 3rd stage and set up well for tomorrow.

Philip Mc Guigan isnt far behind and rode very well today for a man who had major surgery 3 weeks ago.

Jonny Dooey had a mechanical problem which lost him over 4 minutes but thanks to a brilliant effort from him and his support team he pulled it back to within 10 seconds only for his legs to suffer near the end and couldnt finish.

DCC Race Team at Newry 3 day Races.

Good start today for our 3 riders Philip Mc Guigan, Chris Mc Keown and Jonny Dooey finishing in the bunch sprint at the end.

This was a very flat circuit with only one hill climb meaning a large bunch contesting the sprint at the end.

All 3 riders looked in good shape this evening and looking forward to the next 2 days.

Great to see these lads doing our wee club proud.
