Dunloy GP open for entry Friday 13th May at 8pm!

Dunloy Open races will be opening for entry this Friday evening 13th at 8pm on Entry Central

This will be one of if not the toughest/most enjoyable races on the calendar for A3, A4, Masters and Female racers.

Building on the success of the inaugural race last year an additional lap will be added to the A3 and A4 race to give these categories the experience of a tough race over a longer distance.

Coming as it does the week before Ras Donegal it is perfect to test fitness for A3s and allow strong A4 riders the opportunity to gain points and get upgraded.

Dunloy CC will be promoting three races on Sunday 29th May 2016.

A3 Only (no juniors) – 4 laps (71miles) – Sponsored by CDE Global with a prize fund of £300

The circuit starts in Dunloy with the tough climb of Millbrae on each lap.

Dunloy CC take on Donegal!

Dunloy CC’s trip to Donegal has proved again a tremendous success! This year we were blessed with great weather as two groups took on the climbs and sights of Innishowen. Club Chairman Paul ‘Soapy’ O’Kane and Club Captain took a group on a 66 mile route which included the iconic Mamore climb whilst another group took a 52 mile route which included the Five Fingers Strand. Particular thanks to Paul O’Kane for organising the trip and to Martin Molloy and family for the on route refreshments. Until next year……

PS: We hope to put on a map reading course in the near future, we hope Paul O’Kane can attend 🙂

Double Dooey at Clogher Valley GP!

Dunloy CC riders Jonathan and Finbarr Dooey kept it in the family with a brilliant display of strong riding in today’s Clogher Valley GP held at Ballygawley. Jonathan who has recently been promoted to A2 continued his sparkling run of form to take 3rd place whilst Finbarr not to be outdone also took 3rd in the M50 Masters category only 7 days after taking 3rd in the Mid Ulster GP! Both riders are in outstanding form and we can’t wait to see them race again. Well done fellas, top racing!
