Sunday Club Run 17th May.

The Sunday Club run this week will take us on another testing route.

One route for both groups and tea/coffee stop can be decided on sunday morning by each group.

There has been a good turnout for last few weeks so lets keep this going and you will thank us in the long run as these routes will improve your fitness and make it easier to take part in racing or sportives.

Main thing for each group is to ride safely and dont break into small groups as this allows cars to weave in between groups.

Remember to tick on mile markers in Garmin site to see direction of route.

Sunday Club run 10th May.

This is one route for both groups which takes in the famous climb on Roguery Road in Moneyglass.

There is an option to turn left before the climb which will take you into Portglenone avoiding the climb and also shorten the route.

The total is 57 miles.

A coffee/tea stop can be decided by each group depending on weather conditions.

Please remember to tick on mile markers when you load the map below and this will show you the direction of the route.

It is important for the safety of all cyclists that each group should keep together.

Sunday Club Run 26th April

This is the planned Club run for this week. It is 60 miles but a shorter route can be obtained by turning in Maghera instead of going on to Moneymore.

If the second group wishes to go a different route they can decide this in the morning.

Remember when you log in to view map if you tick mile markers on right of page you can see the direction we are heading.

Sunday Club Run 19th April

There is one route planned for both groups tomorrow sunday.

This is a 52 mile run with optional coffee stop as some people want to come back to Parish Hall for breakfast to support U14 Hurling Feile Fund Raiser.

In the event of a large turnout we may have to split into a 3rd group which may look to do a shorter flatter route.

This will be decided in the morning.

When you load up the route in Garmin Connect page click on mile markers on right of page and this will show direction of run.

Mallorca 2015 Cycling holiday a great success

9 of our club members travelled to Mallorca for a cycling holiday from 7th to 14th April.

The trip was very well organised thanks to Philip Mc Guigan.

Philip and Vincent Drain had been to the island before and planned excellent routes each day.

They arranged bike hire as well and i have to say that the quality of bikes were exceptional.

We would also like to thank Chris Mc Keown for all his help with the bikes and all our tech issues. Hope we didnt burden him too much.

Special mention to our only lady member to travel, Margaret Mc Camphill, who cycled with us every day and we hope she can encourage other ladies in the future.

If any cycling clubs are thinking of a holiday then we would highly recommend Mallorca.

They should leave us in Portrush around the same time so we can have a coffee.
If you think they are too hard you can always go out with Jimmy Murray!
Group 1 is a 63 mile run.
Group 2 is a 55 mile run.
